Introducing the Ruby Ice rose, a stunning floribunda variety with an illustrious history of breeding and international acclaim. Originating from a controlled cross in the summer of 1999, this remarkable rose was cultivated by the renowned breeder Tim Hermann Kordes in Germany. The parentage includes two unnamed seedlings, contributing to the unique characteristics of Ruby Ice.

Appearance and Fragrance:
Ruby Ice is a captivating red blend floribunda with blooms that feature a striking mix of red, white, and light pink, accented by a silvery reverse. The flowers are small to medium in size, with an average diameter of 1.5 inches. Each bloom boasts 25 to 35 petals, arranged in very double, ruffled clusters, creating a cupped and reflexed form that is both elegant and eye-catching. The mild fragrance adds a delicate touch to its visual appeal, making it a delightful addition to any garden.

Growth and Foliage:
This rose is known for its medium, arching, and bushy growth habit, reaching a height of up to 2 feet (60 cm) and a width of up to 20 inches (50 cm). Since its introduction, Ruby Ice has gained recognition worldwide under various names. It was first introduced in Germany by W. Kordes’ Söhne in 2011 as ‘Schöne Koblenzerin’. In France, it is known as ‘Anne Roumanoff’ and was introduced by Globe Planter in 2012. The United States welcomed it as Ruby Ice in 2013, thanks to Newflora™ LLC, and in Japan, it was introduced in 2015 by Keisei Rose Nurseries Inc. under the name ‘Gaku no Yume’.
